Inquiry-Based Learning, Learning to Learn

By Kelly Goodsir

In a science experiment, what's more important? The knowledge acquired at the end or the learning muscles -- creativity, curiosity, logic -- exercised on the journey? We know it's the journey: learning to learn is the ultimate life skill.

A child's self-directed investigation is an active process provoked by questions, problemso and scenarios. It is grounded in the child's natural curiosity to make sense of the world around them.

Kelly Goodsir shares the teaching practice needed to drive an inquiry-based program.
