Her forty years of experience working with young children have made her an expert and mentor in the art of really seeing children. Deb is a longtime lover and writer of Learning Stories and many are featured in her books.

Deb Curtis

Deb Curtis has spent the past 40 years working with children and teachers in early childhood programs, observing and studying children and child development. Along with teaching children Deb has worked with early childhood educators in college settings, and seminars and institutes all over North America, New Zealand and Australia. She has also been working as a toddler mentor teacher for the past 10 years. She is the co-author of 10 books related to working with young children.

Deb holds an MA in human development from Pacific Oaks College and has worked as an infant/toddler caregiver, preschool and school age child care teacher, CDA trainer, Head Start education coordinator, college instructor, and assistant director of a child care program.
